Most Sellers know by now that their items for sale/visibility is blacked out from time to time so that buyers will not see the items and therefore cannont buy the items. This is written into the eBay User Agreement. A buyer can see an item on one pc/mobile and then go to buy it/look at it on a different pc/mobile app and not be able to find the item. Once again, eBay user agreement, items can be shown by time zones, etc and does not guarantee that an item will be viewable. Okay, whatever, can't fight city hall on that one. HOWEVER, it would make sense that SELLERS and ITEMS with Item Numbers SHOULD BE ABLE TO BE FOUND USING ADVANCED SEARCH. In other words, even if a seller and their items are being blacked out by eBay, if someone is going to the trouble of trying to find AN ITEM TO BUY, or a particular seller, this information should always be accessible. Very frustrating that "live" sellers and items cannot be found through this method anymore. So many glitches with the Advanced Search function. How many lost sales does this result in? eBay should remember that lost sales for sellers means lost profits for eBay. I've searchd my user/seller name recently when my views were zero to nominal and found that my account does not show up in advanced search. So even if someone wanted to find my items for sale, they couldn't.

So you're claiming that when using Advanced Search by seller ID, eBay comes back with a message that you don't exist? And using Advanced Search by item #, eBay comes back with a message that the item doesn't exist?

Please post a few examples of item #s that aren't being found.

And please alert us the next time you search for your ID and don't find it.

Thank you for the reply "thatsallfolks". "Please alert us..." Excuse my ignorance, but who is "us"?

Over the past several months and on and off currently, when I've entered some seller IDs into Advanced Search/By Seller, including my own seller ID, I am brought back to the eBay home page. When I have seen items that I am interested in and have jotted down the Item Number, Title, or Seller ID and have gone back later and searched for the item and couldn't find it listed, I've looked for it through Advanced Search by description, seller ID or item number and am brought back to the eBay home page. My conclusion based on not being able to find my own or other's Seller IDs or Listed Items through advanced search from time to time is that even Advanced Search does not make this criteria viewable when the item is going through a black out period. I just signed out of this kbcate ebay account and tried to find the Accessocraft Apollo 11 pin that I have listed and it was not in search. I cut and pasted my exact title and searched but it did not show up. Using my Seller ID through Advanced Search did work at this time, however. Usually when my items haven't been showing up in Search, my Seller ID doesn't produce any results through Advanced Search.

Please let me know whom I should contact when this happens. Thank you.
