eBay developed an official eBay app for the Amazon App store on March 18, 2011, which it updated last on January 22, 2018. This app worked beautifully until June 8, 2020, when eBay blocked the function of this app giving the message "We are sorry but this version of the app is no longer supported. Please take a moment to update to the latest version." The message also gives an "update" link which takes you to the old outdated app in the Amazon App store. eBay is the owner and developer of the app (version 5.16.1.2) Interestingly, the "we are sorry message" box that blocks the old app lets you see the old app screen in the background which is updated with my latest sales and totals but it doesn't allow it to be used. So, it seems like the old app is still working but its use is blocked by eBay. As all Kindle and Fire Tablet users know, Amazon does not allow apps to be downloaded from anywhere but the Amazon App store. Calls and messages to eBay about this problem are responded to with boiler plate scripts that don't apply to the real problem which is that the eBay app developing department needs to provide the Amazon App Store with an updated official eBay app. Until the eBay app department starts doing its job of providing an updated app to the Amazon App Store, administrators at eBay should stop blocking the old app and allow its use until a new app is provided to the Amazon App Store. This blocked app is a major inconvenience to sellers who only have Amazon Fire Tablets for access to eBay. Could someone please get this message to the head of the eBay app developing department (and his/her boss)?

It's a fairly simple process to side load Google play store on newer Kindle Fire tablets. Once you do that, you can load just about any app you need. Search the web for "Installing Google Play Store on Fire tablets". Takes about 15 minutes. Follow the steps carefully. You will need a Google account.
