contacting sellers

Still can't contact sellers (who request to be contacted w/ questions; so, no, I don't need the lecture about sellers who don't want to be contacted) as usual, no 'contact seller' in sellers profile. There is also no way for me to access any msgs sent to me. What the heck do eBay techs do all day, besides NOT fixing problems?

Try a different browser. If it works in another browser, you may have a bad cookies/cache problem.

Google "How to delete cookies in (your browser)". Follow directions. If you are having problems with a phone or tablet, replace the browser name with your device name, ie Android, iPhone. Instructions should include how to clear the cache also.

You should sign off eBay before, then sign on after.

Tried Firefox and Internet Explorer and could not get it to work using either one.

Maybe eBay has blocked those sellers from receiving pre-sale messages.

I received a violation and warning in my email a couple of days ago (eBay accused me of trying to do an off-eBay transaction, something I did NOT do... my buyer was trying to upload her logo so I could put it on the product she purchased).

In the violation letter one of the actions eBay threatened was to block pre-sale communications from buyers. Here's the exact wording:

"- You won’t be able to send or receive messages with eBay members unless you have a recent transaction."

Unfortunately, eBay is not clear about whether they mean any recent transaction, or a recent transaction from the buyer who is trying to send the message (I suspect they mean the latter, but I'm not sure).

So, this means they have a mechanism in place to block messages regardless of the seller's settings. maybe this mechanism is broken (or has been applied more widely than sellers realize).
