cannot read/see a code in QR for Receiv8ng $10 off downloaded app

For $10 off if I downloaded the app, so I did,  to my tablet, scanned the QR code & do NOT see or read a code.  The q&a just puts you in a loop that never comes close to the issue.

I think that when you download the eBay app an alphanumeric code is copied to your clipboard automatically. If it has been a while since you downloaded the app or if you cannot find that code, see if the coupon code appears at the top of your Summary page when using a browser:

Did eBay send a code in messages, possibly? That has been done in the past.

No... and there seems to be no way to contact them directly, just the community...  your answer makes a person hopeful...

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.

 

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

 

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
