Paypal not connecting, tried paying by credit and debit card and both give errors, both have plenty of money available on them. this has been going on since last night

I see you are registered in the UK. If you are having difficulty paying on ebay.co.uk rather than ebay.com, you might want to check or post on the UK discussion boards in case there is a UK-specific issue involved.

If you are getting a specific error message, post the exact wording, it might be indicative of the problem you are encountering. Also mention if you are using PayPal's 2-Factor Authentication, which can apparently cause connection issues.

I am in the US and just tried 3 times to pay with Paypal and each time I got an error after logging in that there was a time out error, took to long to connect.

Had to pay with credit card.

For those trying to check out with paypal. i went to paypal website and logged in. it asked me to verify that i wasn't a robot by choosing pictures. logged in and then logged out. went back to ebay and it asked me to do the same thing on there. once i confirmed i wasn't a robot, it allowed me to check out. hopefully this helps others.

I had already logged in to verify balance before I selected this item minutes before.
I had logged out, went to eBay and this happened.
I did not get the robot thing on either PayPal or eBay web sites.

I just tried to pay with a credit card on Ebays site, failed. CC company says they have no record of attempt to purchase

Did some research I have a credit card and PayPal it’s not recognizing it when I go to pay I put it in eBay it doesn’t recognize it in the bank says there’s no issue and then tech-support says that it’s issue on their end as far as updating their servers and they’ve been having issues for a while they said

I tried to used my debit card...credit card...and PayPal. Nothing is working and I lost the item I wanted. What the hell is going on! I was trying to use the buy it now option.

Seems to be a reoccurring problem for many, as I keep seeing threads and posts about this, for the past few weeks.

To all here who are reporting this:

I would call eBay and request that they open a ticket. Not being able to pay should be a top priority issue, because it impacts eBay's revenue stream.
