can't complete a listing or save as draft

anyone else having problems listing today, 6/29/24? Getting a technical issues page, says site is down.. has been down and back up at least 3 times in a couple hours. Anyone know what's happening?

My one or two recent purchases (last month or so) do not show up, so I can't send seller feedback.

Hi,  All good for us here in N.J. Started a listing earlier - saved it in a draft for a lunch break - came back a bit later & finished.  Everything worked out A-Ok!  Good Luck!!  (J.B.)

What error are you getting? I can list but once posted I can't revise. I get the error

This could be the "orange boy" failure. Does it happen when you are saving a draft? If so, try turning off VPN if you are using one, or saving no more than 5 images per draft (e. g., if your listing has 8 pictures, save a draft with the first 5, then add the final 3 before saving your draft again or activating the listing).

Even though the message says the eBay homepage is down, it is not really (universally) down. Just down for a few folks who were trying to save a draft.

That’s it, had to have been the VPN. It’s sporadic which is weird, the VPN has been installed and on for about a year but I’m just starting to have problems and it’s not on every saved draft (I also usually have more than 5 photos). What a pain, I guess I have to pause the VPN now when saving drafts.

Thanks @*eco*con*finds for your thoughtful reply. I've also had VPN for years but began having the draft saving problem only about 2 months ago. Most others who have experienced it began seeing it about that same time.  The problem is probably not actually VPN, but some other glitch that is exacerbated by the link that VPN inserts between the seller and eBay.
