For the past 24 hours I have been trying to make a purchase. I click "Buy it now" but I am NOT, I repeat, NOT being given the "Checkout as a guest" option! This has been going on for 24 hours. Nobody has been able to help me. How did ebay stay in business for so long if somebody can't make a purchase?

In order to see the "Checkout as guest" option you must first sign out of your current eBay account. Otherwise the transaction will take place within your account, not as a guest.

I DID THAT! IT DIDN'T HELP!

Then you need to clear cookies and history from your browser or app. Then pay as a guest.
No need to yell at us in all caps

BTW, it's not "our" site. When you post here, you're not addressing eBay, its employees or its management. These Boards are covered by a very large group of fellow buyers and seller who volunteer their time here to help others when they can.
Best of luck with resolving your issue.

As stated on several occasions, this is the place to report issues. eBay folks do come to this site in this board to see reports of technical issues.

Cue the outrage - you posted in all caps! That’s the eighth deadly sin too many folks.
I do wonder when those folks encounter a street sign, roman numerals, a government building, a so many company logos, etc. what happens. Do they cover their ears? Run away? Write an angry letter? Grab a handy copy of Emily Vanderbilt’s book of etiquette for comfort?

Good idea!
I’ll try that ……..👎

I think you mean Emily Post’s book of etiquette.

It just shows how unsophisticated I am. It is the Amy Vanderbilt book of etiquette. I do have a copy at home. Some good stuff in there, some that is a little bit goofy.
