So I just worked on a variation listing, completed and clicked 'list item' at the bottom. Instead of the item being listed (scheduled in this case), I got this screen:
I already have this information filled out, as ebay has already previously charged me for shipping in my checking account. I wasn't able to complete my listing without it, apparently, so I filled in my cc number, and got a pop up that I wasn't able to screen shot. ( I took a picture, but it's too large to upload here) . The address was https://pmtapp.ebay/apm/sca?flowid=LONG LIST OF NUMBERS, which just said "Hmmm. We're having trouble finding that site. If that address is correct, try again later, check your network connection, check your firewall. I had no way out except to exit the pop up, but no other choice on the automatic payment method screen except back. Well, I lost the listing (it's in drafts, but a very early pre variation one). Very frustrating.
Is this a new thing? Is it a glitch? Why on earth would ebay put this screen placement right after the 'list item' button BEFORE the item lists? I have not reached my free listing limit, this was a free listing. I work slow, so this caused me quite a bit of work. Any advice? TIA

You need to add a funding source to cover refunds and fee's that are not covered by the funds in your MP account.
In the Seller Hub, under Payments/Payout Settings, you can set up your funding source there.

Thank you, I'll check that now. I do think that's a ridiculous place and time to notify me of that. I check Overview in Seller Hub quite often. I redid the listing, and it didn't come up again, thank goodness. Thank you for your help.

Interesting - this happened to me yesterday on creating a listing, which immediately closed (disappeared) after the pop-up arrived. Fortunately there was a good draft saved. The advice to look under Payouts for the MP settings didn't work for me, as you can only change payout account info there, not MP. Am I overlooking something?

Try going to Accounts first. Under Payment information click on Payments.
