Extremely frustrating. Does the same thing on Firefox, Chrome, and Chrome on my Android phone.
I type in my search items, and do the search. Then, I save the search. However, when I go to My Searches I see that eBay has put plus signs (+) between each word. When I click View Items, no results appear.
Searches I made in the past are unchanged, and work just fine. I haven't tried to save a search in a few months.
I've tried all kinds of things, but nothing works.

Add me to the list - have been trying to figure this out for over a month now - searches are basically worthless unless I retype each time I want to use one

as the evening of April 24th, 2018, THE PROBLEM IS FIXED !!!
there are NO MORE plus signs between words in the searches.
on another note, my bought items or what they call "my orders" were all messed up last night without pictures and tracking information. i also could not leave feedback. i also could not delete anything in the entire "my ebay" page.
the "my ebay" entire page was missing the little picture of the auction too.
everything is now back to normal !
....after 5 weeks ????

CONFIRMED FIXED. Now let's see if they can get the search emails working again...

I almost can't believe it, and you can even name the searches again.

Hmmm... that is interesting. The entire time we had to deal with the + between search terms causing “View Search” of Saved Searches to malfunction, I was still receiving emails from them every day.
CONFIRMED HERE TOO!: I just checked a bad saved search, edited it, re-saved it and "View Search" works again for me now!
THANK YOU EBAY! 🙂

Well, that explains why there are so many reports of eBay customer service telling folks it's a non-issue. I get them in fits and spurts -- they'll show up for a day or two and then nothing for weeks. The last batch I got was April 10, and some of my 90 subscribed searches (yes, ninety) have definitely gotten new hits in the last two weeks!

I haven't needed emails from my searches for a while. So I don't know if I was or am affected by that.
But I'd better edit the danged plus's out before ebay messes up again. I'm sure there's no game called Deus+Ex+Human+Revolution+Director's+Cut, to share one of my longest saved searches.

I actually stopped getting searches emailed to me right before New Years, while the + sign problem only began in early March as I remember. I really hope the email issue some of us have is going to be gone now as I buy a LOT less with out getting those mails. Somehow I can't manage to feel much hope though.

I was curious to see when the search notifications started crapping out, so I went back and analyzed my emails. 🙂 I started consistently getting search result emails every day on March 26, 2017, because I added a *lot* of new searches that day. From there, the first day without any emails was August 11 and there wasn't another one until November 4; I don't think I even noticed those blips. They started getting more frequent after that, with six individual days missed in the month between November and December 14, and then the first major gap was December 14 to 22; that's when I actually noticed. Over the next 4-1/2 months, getting emails on any two consecutive days was a rarety, with the gaps averaging about four days each. The longest stretch had been the most recent -- a whopping 19 days between emails on April 10 and 29 -- but a new one has started and I'll just have to wait and see how long it takes for it to break.
I have a sneaking suspicion that, of the 90+ searches I have saved, only one or two are subscribed "properly", such that emails for any of my searches that have new results only get sent when those special ones have new results. I'm not sure I have the right tools or enough data to find a correlation between new matches in particular searches and emails actually being sent, but I sure am going to try! 🙂

Alright, I'm done trying to figure this out. I discovered Nov-Dec was less gappy than I thought because some days had double sets in my timezone (still only one set per day eBay time), with just one set missing on Nov 29, so the trouble didn't really start for me until mid December. I also went back through all 61 messages that arrived on Apr 29 and found that every one of those searches had results either after that email (and having gotten none since) or in the days between that one and the previous set on Apr 10. My theory is thus debunked, and I give up. eBay, get on the ball and fix this! 😛
