Hello folks,
I received a couple of legitimate password reset request emails from eBay .... legitimate, meaning they came from eBay, but please note that I definitely did not initiate them. (They are not necessarily triggered by somebody with malicious intent. I often have people with similar email addresses trying to log in or signup for accounts with my email address instead of their own. It's maddening but it happens.)
eBay's emails include a line that says "Didn't request a password reset? Contact us."
But the link (https://ocsnext.ebay.com/ocs/cuhome) redirects to the generic help pages and there is nothing there about what they want us to do to report it. I tried to search for something more specific and had no success with that.
So, is there anything actually to be done here? And if there isn't... why bother including it in the email? Any suggestions or recommendations on what (if anything) should be done here?
