Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

This only seems to be an issue when viewing ebay on a desktop computer, but for the last week the order of the items in my watch list continues to revert back to "most relevant" despite repeatedly changing it back to "time left: ending soonest" this is problematic, as I don't ever want to miss an auction that is ending soon.

I do have push notifications on my desktop, as well as a sound notification on the mobile app, but I feel the watch list should always be automatically set to "time left: ending soonest" as nowing when an auction is ending is kind of the backbone of buying on ebay. Buyers shouldn't have to seek this info out.

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Hey,

Same with mine.  This issue has posted in another thread elsewhere.  I would hope that Ebay would get the hint if enough people would post about this issue.  It really is a pain.  The issiue is connected to changes they made to the summary page, and rearrangement of the bidding section.  Why do we need a most relevant sort anyway?  Ebay just put it back to the way it was before.  Stop messing with something that works.

Mine too. It's really aggravating that there's no way to stop it.

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Same problem here. I typically do not bid early and as a result, I've missed a number of items that I had been watching because of the sort function reverting to some ebay moron's interpretation what HE thinks is "relevant" .
Oh well, that leaves more money for me to to spend on Alibaba. Hopefully, the idiot that dreamed up this "feature" will end up homeless and eating out of dumpsters after the powers that be see how much his useless tinkering has cost them.
It would have better if they had waited until a few weeks before Christmas to implement it. It would have cost them even more. 🙂

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Same issue.  I have experienced other issues like this in past and found eBay support very unresponsive and issues persist for months versus a few days or hours.  As they continue to lose market to other auction sites, maybe they will take notice in share drop and begin to take positive steps to listen to customers that pay non-trivial listing fees.

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Any chance that eBay will eliminate the stupid "most relevant" choice in watch lists?

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

ebay is probably getting ready to charge sellers a fee to make their auctions "most relevant"...

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Same problem here.  Very annoying.  I have missed bidding on items because of the watch list defaulting to "Most Relevant"  This is a stupid idea. How does it determine what is Most Relevant??

"Ending Soonest"  is most Relevant to me.......  Ebay seems to always want to mess with my Summary page.  Taking away features and rearranging the look.   Leave things alone that are not broken.   We use to have options on how our summary page displayed but now there is no way to fix things.

Note this discussion thread appears elsewhere on the boards.   This problem needs to be fixed right a way.  Easiest way to do that is put things back to the way they were before this happened.

EBAY: Delete "Most Relevant"

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Ebay please remove "Most Revelant", it's a pendejo idea and quite irrelevant to how the summary

page should be. Put it back to how it was.

@hasbrocollector

eBay says if you are viewing your Watch List from the Summary page, it defaults to Most Relevant. (new change, new glitch)
You need to click on "Watch List" to get to the specific page that retains your filter selection.
They are requesting an update to this.

Re: Watchlist keeps reverting to "Most Relevant"

Amen

The clown collection from India tells me that this is the way it is. For 14 years my default has been "ending soonest" and now it is most relevant. Currently I am watching two nearly identical items among the 20 total. The one ending soonest costs less, yet the "most relevant" is the first on the default. This is what happens when you have people who have never "really" bought on ebay doing the programming. $250K spent on ebay and they want me gone............ said and done

Good news everyone, as of today (November 12, 2017) this appears to be fixed!

Let's hope it stays this way...
