Watch list -- difficulty adding or deleting items

My watch list is messed up and have zero clue how, I can’t add anything to my watch list, nor can I delete any of the ended items. How do I fix this?

In theory your watch list should be able to hold up to 300 items -- if you have reached that limit you will need to delete some items before adding more.

In practice I have found that once your item count gets above about 200 items, the list can behave erratically. Difficulty deleting multiple items at once is one problem I have encountered. For best results, try deleting items one at a time. If you are using a desktop browser and you are unable to delete items directly from your Watch list page, try using the watch list section of your Summary page instead. Also, try deleting items from the individual item page (there should be a "remove" link at the top of the page in the blue banner where it says "Saved on your Watch List  |  Remove".

If you are below 200 items and you are having trouble adding new items to your Watch list, or you notice your "Add to watchlist" button has become a text link, try explicitly signing out of your account, restarting your browser and then signing back in.

Yeah already tried every bit of that before I sent the message.  At first it wouldn’t even let me delete stuff out one at a time, however when I went to the full site instead of mobile then I was able to delete at least for a little bit.  I’m well under the limit however now it won’t let me delete anything else, even one at a time.  I’ve logged out and logged back in with still no luck.  I don’t have a desktop, work from my phone or tablet.

I do not have much experience using the mobile site, so I cannot help you with that. What browser are you using? If that was happening to me, I would try another browser and see if the same thing occurred. If not, I would go back to that first browser and clear the cache and eBay cookies. If a new browser has the same issue, I would request the desktop site and see if I could delete items from the Summary page watch list items.

Have you tried using the app to delete items from your watch list? You should be able to open an individual item on your watch list and then choose "unwatch".

Add to watch isn't working, when I click on it nothing happens.

How many items are currently on your Watch list?

Are you able to add items to another list such as your Wish list?

Have you tried another browser to see if that works any better? If it does work better, try signing out of eBay in your original browser, deleting your eBay cookies and temporary internet files or cache, restarting the browser and then signing back in to eBay.

I only had one item in my watch list, now deleted. I've used the drop down menu to create another list and that worked.

Hi,why is watch list coming up full to capacity when I only have 17 items saved on it,thanks everyone

Try signing out of eBay, then restarting your browser to see if that helps.

In the last week or so, I have been unable to activate WATCH on items I would like to place on my watch list. I first noticed it on my ipad but now it is happening on my computer as well. I do not have any restriction placed on my account.

If you are currently watching less than 200 items, try signing out of your eBay account and restarting your browser.

If that does not help, see the top of this thread for some other suggestions.
