Unfortunately nothing has happened here. And even worse, it seems constant claim about backend database keeping correct value is/was false. On some of my items after couple of refreshes (through API) value shown is valid number, but certainly false, because some of these had greater watch count than a view count. And for some that I know will have high number of views system shows wrong number. It seems as if somebody started “manually” patching the system so that it shows some number irrelevant of the real impressions and this can turn into “Dieselgate”, faking numbers (if that's really the case) is never a solution! Either counts are lost and/or reset, either somebody is fixing the issue with the front end patch faking the numbers. Both is bad and frustrating. I hope eBay will compensate some of the loss through monthly bill?? Or is this too much to hope for? So, positions with Best Match can’t be right and sales are certainly down compared to similar periods of the year.
This now lasts for more than a month in our case and nothing has happened in the meantime, aside from some odd numbers shown after couple of refreshes or randomly.
