Using Chrome for eBay and some functions continue to not work.

Some eBay features over the past months seem to not work in Chrome.  They did work previously.  I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems or has noticed a solution? I am not positive I am posting this on the correct board so possibly a moderator will relocate it. If so, I apologize for my error.

One of the key functions that do not work is when I receive an offer and try to click on ACCEPT. Nothing happens while in Chrome, what I use mainly. When I open the same page in Edge, it functions and will accept the offer. This problem is 100% consistent when using Chrome.  A few other options also will not function.  I googled the problem but could not find a solution. Chrome is up to date. Thanks for your help.

Kinda hate to be the one to suggest this, but have you deleted all the eBay cookies? Another member was having Chrome issues that involved the same problem--s/he couldn't click on links--and that seemed to work for him/her.

And I'm sure your cache and browsing history is cleared . . .

Which OS and eBay platform are you using? Sometimes that makes a difference in other members' advice . . .

Just FYI, I updated Chrome yesterday, and I'm running:

Google Chrome is up to date
Version 80.0.3987.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF YOU'VE ALREADY TRIED THIS!

Having problem's also, on chrome and on edge, have deleted history. I can't delete anything from my watch list, ebay is probably working on it.

If you are having problems deleting watch list items from your Summary page, try using the checkbox in front of the item and the "delete" button at the top of the list rather than the "delete item" link that appears when you hover your cursor over the item.

There does seem to be a problem with those "delete item" links -- I was not able to get them to work in any browser since last Saturday. Not sure when that problem started; I had not noticed it until recently.

Take care not to accidentally delete all of your items, though. If you select the checkbox at the top of the list, that will select all the items on the page.

Thanks, be doing it so long the delete item link way that I forgot all about the box. It worked!

I have been having problems with the "delete item" link as well. It does not work with any browser for me. I called eBay approx. 2 wks. ago and posted a message on this forum today. Don't know when they'll do something about it.

I have other issues with Chrome too, but I don't know the cause. When I try to open a new tab, it opens 2-3 at a time, closes tabs and windows on its own, multiple problems with email, just lots of weird little "glitches". It seems to be good for photos and videos, but that's about it. I've given up trying to find solutions. When something doesn't work, I just switch browsers. It's kind of a pain, but not as frustrating as going around in circles with Customer Support.

Hope you get it fixed. Good Luck!

Those might be symptoms of some sort of adware problem. It might be worth downloading an adware scanner such as adwcleaner from Malwarebytes to scan your computer and remove potentially unwanted programs and extensions.

This is really an eBay forum, however I will just say this:

Thanks. I appreciate the help, but I have Malwarebytes installed. I've also spent 2 hours on the phone with a Norton tech. searching my computer for malware and tried numerous other "fixes" as instructed by Outlook and Microsoft Support over the past several months -- all a waste of time. I wrote to Google Chrome Support and got no response.

I would love to think you had come up with something new that might make a difference, but I've learned to not worry about it anymore.

I use Safari, the built in system for Macs, and have the same problem. When I do I switch over to chrome and can usually complete the task. I called about this before and have been told several times it is a problems with Ebay's software. I have no doubts it is since their system is archaic. I also clean my system several times daily and still have problems so I don't think it is my computer.
