Unresponsive script in Purchase History

Been having this problem for days.

Keep getting this message in purchase history:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

Script: https://secureir.ebaystatic.com/rs/c/templates-js-18f92b.js:7

Once I stop the script can't do anything but pay for items.  Can't sort by year or shipped.  Can't track shipped items, etc.  This occurs with Firefox and Chrome.  Please fix this.

Re: Unresponsive script in Purchase History

I found an interim solution for as long as ebay still hosts the bad script. If you are using Firefox with AdBlockPlus enabled (as I am - Windows 7 Ultimate, Firefox 54.0.1/32bit) you can create a custom filter. Under Filter preferences, select Custom Filter, Add Filter group, name it, select it, Add filter, then paste "templates-js-18f92b.js" in the rule and enable. So far, my Purchase history page (which is where I was getting the error) reloads just fine and I do not notice any loss of functionality. I will update if I finally find some function that appears to be missing... This filtering function should be available on other browsers, but I have limited experience with other than the Fox.

This is a general reply to tell everyone / anyone on this post that Trinton from ebay is here on post #20 asking for information

Anyone with issues should give Trinton the information he is looking for.

Re: Unresponsive script in Purchase History

It has been over a week since this issue was reported to ebay and still no solution.  Still get an unresponsive script on purchase history using Firefox.  Purchase history page freezes using Chrome.  When will this problem be fixed?

Re: Unresponsive script in Purchase History

I

I had the same problem every time I accessed my Watch list. It started when I upgraded to FF ESR 52.2.1
The system locks up for 10-20 seconds and I cannot scroll down the list or look at messages. If I attempt to scroll down I got Unresponsive in the header.

I did the obvious things of clearing the cookies and cache but no difference. I then cleared my browser history – no difference.
I then did a FF Refresh. I now no longer get the Unresponsive in the header, but instead every time I get a dialogue box saying
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.
Continue or Stop do.
If I click on Debug I get line 7 highlit. On the left it highlights ‘templates-js-18f92b.js’ and above ‘e.exports/</a.mfe.utils.text.truncate/<templa…92b.js:7’ where I presume … is tes-js-18f92b.js

I hope this helps someone to sort out the problem

Re: Unresponsive script in Purchase History

Hi

Others might like to know that there is no problem when you access the 'All Lists' which contains the Watch list.  That proves to me that it is an ebay problem and not a FF one. Anyone know someone in ebay to take this up?
