About three days ago eBay had some major site issues that caused all sorts of problems. One problem involved users in the UK being redirected to the US ebay.com site.
Although you are registered in the UK, you are currently on the US ebay.com discussion boards. Try signing out here and signing back in to the UK site:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/
Possibly many of the problems you are experiencing lately are due to being signed in to the US site instead of your UK site.
Make sure you are not following any ebay.com links or using ebay.com bookmarks. If you use autocomplete to enter addresses in your browser, clear your browser history to prevent being sent back to the US site. You may want to clear your ebay.com cookies from your browser so that if you are accidentally redirected to the US site you will be forced to sign in again, which may allow you to more easily notice the change.
