The search keeps defaulting to 'Best Match' - even if I use 'Advanced Search' it does the same thing.
I have tried logging off, powering down, etc etc - all to no avail.
Anyone else had the same issue?
Sorry if it's an old/on-going issue, but this is my first time in this forum...

You can't change it to ending soonest or newly listed?

You should be able to set you default sort order to any sort you want.
Start with a search. From the search results page, click on the icon in the upper right corner that lets you choose between List or Gallery View, and choose the "Customize" option:
From there you should be able to set your search defaults:
If the defaults do not "stick" the first time, try again or use a different browser to set them.
In some cases it helps to change the settings on the page to match what you want before going to the Customize menu.

I didn't realise I could use 'Tags' and have no idea if that would change the situation or how it would help - I'll have a look at this when I get a chance.
Many thanks for your suggestion.

I've always used standard and Advanced searches and never had problems until very recently - 'never tried this way before, but will give it a try.

You are very welcome -- follow up if you have any questions or run into a problem.
eBay had some issues with the Advanced Search page in the past week, though it seems that things should be working again after Sunday night.

Well thanks for this - 'never noticed it (Customize) before - I have just set it up and will try it from now on to see how it goes - hopefully I will be able to tick the 'Solution' box!
Many thanks and regards - Peter W

You are very welcome. That Customize menu is very handy. It does not always work the first time, and once in a while I find that I have to adjust the settings to restore my preferences, but it can be extremely useful.
