Unable to add bank account to sell item

Hi there,

it’s been a while since I’ve sold something, so I was surprised to see that eBay was requiring bank account information before I can list again.

I’ve been trying to add my Bank of America checking account. I was able to login using the BofA button they provide, authorize my account, and eBay even had my bank account listed fine to use and then when I go to hit next, suddenly I’m greeted with a “Bank not supported” error. I don’t understand, if BofA isn’t supported, then why is it the first bank on your list to choose from?

Because not all BofA accounts are usable for receiving funds from eBay. Might try typing Bank of America in the community search box.

Here are some of the posts about not being able to use BofA:

Ebay and BOA doesn't play well together.

You might have to get an account through another bank.

Have a great day.

You are not contacting eBay on the Community chat pages, we are other buyers and sellers. Could be first on the list because the list is alphabetical not by ranking?
