Been a member since 2003. Want to sell items, but am told I need to connect my account with my bank via IBAN. No matter what I do, I just get an error message saying ”Something went wrong, please check below” or something similar.
I’m now at a loss. Tried resolving this in October, even chatted with eBay support, but the representative (and I mean this with respect) seemed to struggle heavily with English and ended up ghosting me. I tried once again hoping the issue had been resolved, but with no luck.
I’ve seen other unresolved threads on this as far back as 2021, making me lose hope that this will ever get sorted out.
Any ideas?

Not sure about Sweden or IBAN, but most of the issues in the US setting up managed payments involve things like making sure you are using the same name with the exact same spelling including any middle initial if used on both eBay and the bank registration; making sure you are using a checking account rather than a savings account, and that the routing number is correct and without any extra characters; making sure you are using a valid street address rather than a post office box and that it matches the address registered with your bank; making sure your phone number is verified with eBay as shown in your personal info of your account.

My understanding is that Euro eBay sellers need to use the Sort Code and not the IBAN.

I had the same problem. It was prefilling the first 2 letters of my iban which were actually correct but when i completed this with the remainder of the iban it was rejecting it. It only accepted it once i cleared the box of the first 2 letters and inputted the iban from scratch. Another problem i had was inputting my date of birth. although it was asking for it in the day, month and year format it would only accept it using the month, day and year format, common in the US. Ebay should really look at their application procedure, it's a bit of a mess.
