System problem with Sales Tax

I tried to make a $25.00 purchase and the sales tax was $50.00  I called E-bay and it should be fixed within 72 hours. I'm assuming that my buyers are having the same problem. Some categories are OK. This was for watch batteries. Anybody else experiencing this?

Others have definitely run into similar problems with purchases of batteries lately.

The problem seems to be inconsistent or at least dependent on something unique to each listing; some listings appear to show the correct tax amount, while others seem to have wildly excessive tax amounts for the same sorts of items shipped to the same state.
