I am experiencing several technical issues on the platform, and I’d appreciate your assistance in resolving them:

  1. Extreme Zoom and Formatting Issues:

    • Certain pages display in an extreme zoom level, breaking the format into a line-by-line layout. This significantly disrupts readability and usability, as a single line occupies the entire screen.
  2. Non-Functioning and Delayed Links:

    • Links such as those for viewing feedback, return details, and tracking pages are either non-functional or take an unusually long time to load. This creates a frustrating delay in completing tasks.
  3. Issue with Purchasing Labels:

    • The link to purchase shipping labels directly from the "Orders Awaiting Shipment" section is not working. I had to work around this issue by navigating to the "Order Details" page to purchase the label from there. While this workaround helps, it is inconvenient and time-consuming.
  4. Delayed Page Loading:

    • Several actions, such as accessing tracking details or feedback, take significantly longer than expected, hindering the user experience.

These issues impact my ability to manage orders efficiently. Could you please investigate the root causes and suggest solutions? Additionally, here are a few recommendations that might address these problems:

  • Ensure compatibility with all major browsers and devices.
  • Review the server load and optimize scripts for better performance.
  • Check the functionality and usability of key links and workflows to prevent disruptions like those described.

1. "Extreme zoom" you can solve by zooming out. Use Ctrl and - on a PC or Cmnd and - on a Mac. Zoom out to your preferred view, and eBay cookies will save that setting every time you load the page. You'll only have to reset if you clear your browser data.

 

2. Post an example of a non-functioning link, along with a link to the page where you clicked on the non-functioning link.

 

3. Post a link to the page that's not working for shipping label generation.

 

4. Slow page loads are usually a byproduct of various factors you can control like: browser add-ons, ad blockers, use of a VPN, local network issues, internet speed, router issues, making sure browser and OS are up to date, not using old tech (old computer/OS), etc.

What browser are you using?

 

Some page elements may not always render correctly in old browser versions or niche browsers. This can cause things like the category row at the top of the Watch List page to not wrap correctly, leading to a very wide page with a long scroll bar at the bottom. Trying a different browser can help deal with that. If you are determined to use a certain browser, an ad blocker's element hiding tool can be used to suppress the page element causing the problem in some cases.

 

Ensure compatibility with all major browsers and devices.

 

eBay does test with the latest version of popular browsers, but eBay can't possibly test every conceivable combination of device, operating system, settings and add-ons that might affect an individual user's experience, which is one reason why trying another browser is such a commonly recommended diagnostic technique.
