Size option missing and unavailable in variable listing format

When listing in clothing we’re unable to list variable sizes within the same listing, option not available in new drop down. When size is attempted to be added in the blank field, “Add your own attribute”, a red error comes up “This attribute isn’t valid for this variation. Add a valid attribute” although right below it states, “For example Size, Color or Material” – Our question and concerns are, how do we list size variables within one listing for the same style tops, pants, etc without this option? Am I missing something here? Before the new seller update, this was never an issue. This is a game changer if we can no longer list multiple sizes of the same item in one listing. Answers anyone? Thank you!

This might be because eBay has "helpfully" populated the size field for you from your title. Cancel out of Create Variations, and scroll down to verify that the size field is indeed empty; if it isn't, empty it.

In one catefory (I forgot which), we had to vary on Size Type because setting Size Type to Regular and varying on Size had failed.

this has been down for over a week, my sales are horrible, i sold one item in seven days, this is so unfair and do we get a credit for paying for all and not getting what we are paying for, this is and endless horror story with E-bay, because there so worried about competing with AMazon when all they should do is worry about being there own boss.
