Every time I want to sign in to my account I get a series of nonsense one after another.
First I get the Google reCAPTCHA. I select the traffic signs and the palm trees, etc.
Then it asks for my username and password.
Then it asks for a security question.
Then it says it's emailing me a code to verify the account.
Sometimes I get the reCAPTCHA twice! Once before entering the username and once after entering the password!!
What is this nonsense?!!
To sign into my bank I just type my username/password and it's done! What the hell is the eBay security team think they are doing?!!

Same thing happening here.
8 times last night before I was able to sign in.
Hope they get this fixed soon

The emailing of a verification code indicates that either you have 2-Factor Authentication enabled, or else eBay is noticing something about your account that is very suspicious -- such as multiple simultaneous sign-ins from different countries.
Are you using a VPN? If so, try disabling it.
Disabling ad blockers, pop-up blockers, script blockers or other privacy tools on the sign-in or verification page can help; many of those have settings that can interfere with verification. You may be able to turn them back on once you have signed in and updated your eBay cookies.
If you are using Firefox, try disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection on eBay using the shield icon to the left of the page address.
If you are able to sign in using a private or incognito browser window, that might indicate a problem with a corrupt or blocked cookie. Try erasing just your eBay cookies manually in that case.
If you are routinely clearing all your cookies, you will likely have to go through verification again each time you sign in.
Or try a different browser -- preferably the latest version of a popular browser that you do not normally use and one that has no add-ons or extensions installed.
More things to try can be found here:

Thank you for taking the time to response.
I don't have 2FA enabled but I do use a VPN and Firefox's Enhanced protection. But I'm not going to disable them.
Your advice, although it comes from a point of caring and kindness, is very bad! Lowering the security of my system because eBay cannot handle them!! That's awful!
Lets look at what eBay is doing here! They are putting all these stupid barriers so that no one breaks into my account?! I have a 20-character password. If someone can break it, I'd be happy to buy them anything they want and sent it to their home! There's no need for multiple reCAPTCHA and "verification".
It's worth mentioning that I login to my bank account and can manage my checking and saving accounts and my stocks and everything with the same setup (VPN, Firefox, etc.) Why can't eBay fix their system so that users don't have to "lower" the security of their system to log in?!!
My goal of writing this is not to find a solution. It's to make eBay to find a solution. I'm not the person who needs to change her practices. It's eBay who needs to change their stupid login page.
With that said, if you have a way to make this heard by eBay, that would be awesome. They don't give me any option to contact them so this is my only way to express my dissatisfaction with their "security" practices.

And then, there's this!!
(Just to remind everyone, I get the "emailing confirmation code" step, AFTER I type my username/password, solve the reCAPTCHA, and answering a security question!!! I mean do you want a scan of my retina too?)
