Shipping Label Formatting

Everything has been working fine. I purchase and save my, label then import it from my google drive and then print it using my thermal printer. The default size has been 4x6 and never an issue. Suddenly tonight, I bought my label and it came up looking like a narrow horizontal strip vs a normal portrait layout.  No settings were touched on my end, nor should they need to be now.  This is a bug on the Ebay side, not mine. What gives?

I'm having to print a text file with buyer name & address, import that into thermal SW, try to size it and then use the tracking info from the mucked up label. 

Can't work like this.   

I can't be the only one experiencing this issue.  PLEASE HELP ♡

Sounds like your label size got altered somehow. Check your label size settings next time you purchase a label. If you're not sure where to look, let me know if you're using single labels, bulk labels, or the app and I'll post screenshots for the label page you're using.

I've had the same issue with using eBay's label printing. I use the 4" x 6" landscape but now it won't print except in portrait. I've gone to my inkjet printer settings from eBay's printing options but there is no setting to change from portrait to landscape. This used to be a no-brainer before (for the past 20 years) but recently has become a major aggravation.  I guess I'll have to use the QR Code option in the future.

I have the same issue and after spending 20 plus minutes on phone with customer service, they told me  the problem was on my side, not theirs.  I have used EBAY for printing labels horizontally onto label adhesive backed paper  for years with no problems.  Now, all of a sudden, they only print vertically which does not fit in the space allowed for the label.  Fix this.

There's a current bug with format on single labels. It's been happening for about a week.

Until it's fixed I suggest using the bulk flow. Single labels can be purchased through the bulk label flow. Just open up bulk shipping, check all except the one you want to buy a label for and delete the rest. That's how you can do it one-at-a-time in bulk.

Hope that helps until eBay gets this fixed.

Thanks. So I had a sale this morning and was curious if it would do same thing again and it did. I called in because I have a pretty good suspicion that something (in the code) was updated and it impacted the formatting defaults.  When I went in under shipping labels (on tbe laptop not my phone), I found that my label size was defaulting to 7" x 2" .  This is nothing I touched and no other users on my account.  Hence - they have to test and fix because something definitely broke when they deployed a change.  I struggled trying to find that setting though.  Geez.  In the end, I was able to give them some good feedback - hopefully it'll get routed to UX team, etc.

You're the first person I've seen @dish_queen to report your label size changed to 7x2 so your issue may be unrelated to what everybody else is dealing with. But I'll keep an eye out for other reports.

At the beginning I was advising everybody to check their label size settings next time they printed a label to see if maybe eBay's code changed it on them. People that checked and came back with more info said their label size settings weren't changed. Just the label orientation. Everybody else reporting this is using either 4x6 or 8x10 and the problem is their labels are in the wrong direction and not compatible with their label sheets.

But yeah, whether your issue is related or not, there is definitely a bug the past week and hopefully eBay will get it fixed soon.
