Shipping Calculator

I am aware that a number of people are or have had issues with the shipping calculator in their listings and I am one of them. My problems started at least 10 days ago and are still not resolved leaving me unable to list at the moment because you can't see the calculator in my listings. This leads to my customers having to inquire by email as to what the shipping rates are to their area, so I have stop listing anything until the problem is resolved with the exception of one in auction form for Ebay to work with. The problem is that no matter how many times I have contacted Ebay spending hours with their tech help, the problem still persist regardless to everything we've done. I am told that they will kick the can upstairs to someone else and make it a priority and as of today the problem still persist. It's frustrating, but hopefully they will have it corrected soon. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this particular problem or am I alone on this one.

I have been trying to use the "Edit shipping for this item only" feature and when I click on save and close, all I get is the spinning wheel, so the feature is useless to me and many others.  I think the entire shipping section of the new listing tool is completely broken.  People have been complaining about it for MONTHS and it's NOT being addressed.

I have been trying for better than a week to get Ebay to correct the issues with the calculator in my listings. I can't list anything at this point and after being on Ebay for over 20 years I find this to be my worst experience with Ebay . This takes the cake though. If I can't list anything what's the point. I'm paying for a store on top of that. You would think that Ebay could figure this out.  I'd be curious to know if their high end sellers are having this issue .  I can't believe that a company as large as Ebay can't get their act together as far as technical support and getting this issue resolved. I can't wait forever when I'm paying for a store front as well.

All of your listings have free shipping to the USA, and are not available to be shipped to other countries. Is that not what they are supposed to have?

I am not having trouble finding the cost of shipping for other listings (if they are not free shipping) so this doesn't appear to be a site-wide issue.

From what you've said @Anonymous, you may have opted into using business policies without realizing it. I can't be certain if @walts_plaza is dealing with the same problem as they haven't provided enough detail.

I did have to use business policies to change my handling time out to 10 days which is a must for me due to illness.  The shipping had to be done at the same time and no choice there.  I can't change the shipping prices without changing my handling times and the "edit price for this listing only" won't let me save it.  Thank you so much for your answer!!!

That is the exact issue I am having with the exception being I don't recall ever opting in for business policies I don't understand why it should be such a dilemma to switch you back if that were the issue. I opted out when I discovered what was going on and you would think that Ebay would have been prepared for a number of people who might opt out. I changed nothing in my account settings, so this should have never happened.

Yes, all my present listings are free shipping and that's only because I pulled all the auctions that require a calculator because my customers can't see the shipping rates for their area. This means all of them inquiring by email to ask me for their cost.

Hey @Anonymous. You're not required to use business policies to change your handling time. You can opt out if you wish.  But if you prefer to keep using them (personally I use them and it makes my life easier), then you don't have to "edit for this listing only" - you can go to the page I linked above and create a new policy and use that. That will get you around whatever spinning wheel / load issue you're running into.

This glitch appear to have been resolved but I only tried to use it twice so far.  THANK YOU for getting this done so that many sellers can move forward with listings!!!

I was WAY too quick to thank these people for fixing this!!!  It worked for ONE day and now back to the spinning wheel.  I need to edit and change the shipping costs in most of my listings.  Just getting so frustrated with this new listing tool!!!  IT, this should NOT be that hard TO do!!!

Well here's to months now with the shipping calculator still not working in my listings. It's ridiculous that Ebay hasn't corrected the issue. I am paying for a service with regard to a store front and I consider this to be a breach agreement between Ebay and myself since they seem to be doing nothing to correct the problem. I have called at least 6 times trying to get a straight answer and all I get is we know there's a problem and we are working on it. I have to wonder if they are really working on it or is it deliberate. They really screwed things up with all the recent changes. I liked it much better before they made all these so called improvements.
