Serious software errors, Cannot list items. I GIVE UP

Every time I log into Ebay it says new activity on my account has been detected.

Spent hours trying to solve it with customer services. Nothings changed.

Problem is over 3 years old! Seen forum post from hungary and japan in 2018 also asked

"Call us at 2086-100157 and mention security code xxx. This isn't the same confirmation code to confirm your account.

If you use an IP Relay service, you can use the same number."

I suspect many buyers cannot bid - just sold some mens £400 hoes for £3 on 10 day auction!

Despite wasting all this time I still cannot list or revise an item. It says 'what other ebay account is associated with your address.' I have already explained many times that i don't have that information.

Given up buying and listing on ebay for now. Email me when its fixed thanks.

@danceselector

If the message says "New sign-in activity on your eBay account" that means that eBay has detected a sign-in using an unfamiliar IP address or a browser with no previous eBay sign in cookie. If you erase your browser cookies, use a new browser or sign in with a different network address, you will see that message when you sign in.

You can check your current UK sign in sessions here:

What are you trying to solve?

This is a public user forum, not eBay. No one here is going to email you.

You are registered in the UK, but you are posting on the US discussion boards. Sign out of the US site and sign back in to ebay.co.uk by going to the main eBay page and using the sign in link there rather than trying to use an old bookmark. It is not entirely clear which site you are having problems with, but your current items are listed on the UK site.

If you have problems signing in or listing on the UK site, it might be worth trying a new browser with no add-ons, extensions, history or cookies. eBay has been changing seller pages, so you may have to use Seller Hub rather than an old All Selling page.

If eBay prompts you for additional verification, it may be because eBay has detected suspicious activity on your account -- in that case you may need to contact eBay UK to provide further verification that you are the original account holder, and you may want to change your eBay password or take further steps to make sure your computer is secure.
