Search results disappear after less than a second

This started a couple of days ago (when eBay had their meltdown).  Search results show up for a split second and then disappear.  Doing a "reload" gets the same results.  "Sold" listings remain however and do not disappear.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you using an ad blocking extension in your browser? Try temporarily disabling it and reload the search results page.

Or try another browser altogether.

If the only results returned are sponsored results, and you are using Best Match sorting, your ad blocker may block the sponsored results. Try another sorting method -- in other sorts, sponsored listings appear along with their non-sponsored "organic" versions. The ad blocker should not block the "organic" listings, though might block sponsored listings depending on your settings or subscriptions.

If every search is like that, you may have created a custom ad blocking rule that is blocking your search results, or there may be a problem with your browser.

If you are not using an ad blocker or similar extensions, and using another browser shows results when searching, try clearing your browser cache and eBay cookies in your original browser.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately, all the ideas, while good, were unsuccessful or not applicable:

--No ad-blocker.

--Chrome--Emptied the cache and cookies.

--Tried another browser with the same result.

There were no changes to my system since right before this issue began (Sunday afternoon, when all the eBay problems started--the recent round anyway.).  This one came out of the blue.

The ideas are appreciated.

Any common browser extensions in your two browsers?

It might be worth installing a third browser to try default conditions with no extensions or settings changed.

If it is not a browser issue, then you may need to look at things like your computer itself; if you have another computer handy it might help to know if the problem is limited to one machine or not.

Otherwise you may have to take a look at your firewall or network (or network provider), or the possibility of a virus or malware.

Do search results load using a browser on your phone? Do the results vary depending on whether you are using wifi or not?

Do search results load properly if you go to ebay.ca or ebay.com.au or ebay.co.uk?

Another thought or two:

Are you using saved searches? Try going to ebay.com and starting a new simple search with a simple keyword.

Do the results change if you sign out of your account, and then try a search?

Another thought:

Any difference if you search from the Advanced Search page? Try changing different search settings like sort order or number items per page.

A while back there was an issue that caused certain searches sorted a particular way to fail; users that had that sort order as a custom default sort order could not search at all, and could not change the sort order without going to the advanced search page. But if they signed out of their accounts, they could search (because the default default search sort order was not affected by the problem).
