Hello Ebay Team,
There is a brand of womens clothing and accessories named 'freebird' whenever you search the system automatically corrects it to 'firebird' resulting in the wrong search results. If you alter the search by adding shoes or boots it limits the search and you cannot go backwards to try to correct it.
Is there a way to add Freebird as a correct search term to avoid this?
Thanks, Sara

eBay will automatically "correct" certain search terms when used in isolation, if a slight variation of the term results in many more results.
This can be useful in the case of a spelling correction, but it can sometimes alter a search in an undesirable way, as you have found.
So a search for just freebird will automatically turn into a search for firebird -- but with a link at the top of the results for the original search, if that is what you want:
If you use that freebird link and then bookmark or save the resulting search, you can continue to find freebird results without having to go through the extra step of getting firebird results first.
Or else you can try putting your search term in quotes; that will prevent any substitutions at all and will force eBay to search for exact matches of your search term.

I am not sure if eBay takes suggestions from users as to what terms are automatically corrected or not.
