Whenever I try to search for something or use my saved searches I get way too many results that aren't specific to my query on my mobile device (iOS). I have tried signing in and out. Logging on with both app and mobile web, but searching for anything is pointless.
On computer, it seems fine.

What version number of the app are you using?
I have seen many recent complaints from users searching for sports cards in the last day or so, but searches seem to be working for me using the latest Android version of the app (6.168.0.1).
If you save a search using a desktop browser, does the saved search work in the app?

I’m on 6.168.0.2, but it’s affecting both app and mobile web. My guess is there is a mobile build issue

I am having the same issue. Had my friend next to me pull his up and it’s normal. Mine is all screwed up. Haven’t found a fix

Im having the same issue for sports cards. Was fine early this morning but not working now. At the top it says “best selling” and than the “results” are underneath. But the results are 500,000+ results none have anything to do with my search

When trying to search for sports cards, my surgery results have nothing to do with my search item.

I am having the same issue. The search function is basically useless right now. I have a few “saved searches” I use, and they don’t work either. Please advise.

You should be able to report app issues on your phone by shaking the device while the app is active.
Try using a different sort if you are using "Best Match". Try narrowing the results to one category. Try putting one of your search keywords in quotes. Try searching using a browser instead of the app.
Or try searching using a desktop browser or another device.

Having the same issue, called ebay and they said they would send issue to IT. STILL NOTHING!! Beyond frustrating....

It is not working like it normally does, kind of like a setting is off. I used to pull up item and get a couple thousand listings, now its like 50+ million of not relevant items. I haven't changed anything. I use my wifes phone with same app, version etc and hers is fine

Called ebay and they forwarded to IT. Still nothing back from them. Just glad its not just me. So frustrating so i feel your pain. Hopefully they find the issue and correct it soon. I'll keep you posted on mine

What is different between the two situations? Are you using the exact same operating system? Signed in to the same eBay account on both devices?
If she signs in to her eBay account on your phone do card searches work, or not?
If when you sign in to your account on her phone you have the same problem, that might indicate the issue is account-based -- meaning eBay may be testing something on some users' accounts and only they are affected.

Same account and operating system. Same version of the app etc. Just pulls up "recommended for mine with 50+ million item doing same exact search

Same exact search? Same category? Same sort order? There must be something different if one device is providing good results and one is not.
If you save a search on a desktop device, then open the saved search with each device, are the results the same?
