This is a silly coding oversight... I picked two items from a seller and put them in my cart. A banner line at the top of the page tells me that I can request combined shipping from the seller:
So, great; I draft a short note to the seller asking for combined shipping (it was two different listings for 3-ounce items, both showing a $5.95 Shipping charge), hit the Send button, and then *wham*:
I mean, seriously, how hard would it be to check the combined-shipping availability of each item (or the combined-shipping preference of the seller of each item) in the cart, and either provide the bad news up front, before I waste my time drafting a message that Ebay refuses to send anyway, or at least flag those which cannot be combined vs. those which can?
I ended up sending a separate message to the seller asking the same thing. We have done business before and I don't foresee a problem, but this offering a Seller Request message and then immediately rejecting it is just sloppy coding.
