Report filed looking for a refund

I recently bought an item from a seller. The seller contacted me and said he no longer has the shoes. When I asked for a refund he said he needed 30 dollars for a refund. He was trying to scam me so I reported him. I reported his listing and Ebay said they would take it down. Will the purchase I made be canceled and I get a refund? Or will the listing he made just be taken down and the purchase I made still go through? Please if someone can help me that would be appreciated.

If the ETA for the item reaching you has come & gone, then file an item not received claim & that will require the seller to ship the item to you or issue a full refund after a few days. Don't pay any extra money to the seller.

eBay's Money Back Guarantee is very good, but you need to read it, understand it and use it in a timely fashion.  

If the package is overdue by just one day,  JUST ONE DAY, you need to open an item not received case with eBay and you have 30 days past the estimated delivery date to do so.

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET A REFUND FROM EBAY.
