Why does it takes about 5 tries to reply to a message in the message in box? The box to enter the text does not come up. eBay never has this issue before and I am using Goggle Chrome. It is well known using Explorer hardly works on any function with ebay now!

This has also been an ongoing issue for over a month or two that I recall. There is still no resolution. I found that by re-clicking on All Messages and then once again clicking on the message REPLY in question, it will reset the text box. I normally still use Internet Explorer 11.0 and it generally still works ok for most functions.

Does the message box appear if you use another browser such as Firefox?
I took a look through past posts about message boxes not appearing, and in at least one case the original poster found the problem was on their end. The poster referred only to "web filtering" which may be an Ad Blocker or possibly a firewall or proxy setting. If the message box appears in other browsers, I would look at disabling extensions in your original browser to see if you can isolate one as causing the issue. If other browsers exhibit the same issue, take a look at common software like your Antivirus suite or firewall settings.
