Put simply, it doesn't work anymore.
I click it, and all that happens is the box around the variations jumps up a line closer to where the button is.
Tried this in two different browsers, same deal. I normally use Firefox, but tried Edge as well too. Both react the same way. It was working fine yesterday.
If I delete all the entries, cannot re-add.
But it will auto-fill the entries if I let it by changing the Attributes. Which I don't want to do.

I like having this feature, as I have multiple brands of these to list eventually. Just want to be sure its not something I'm doing wrong, or should do differently or something just wrong with it and not me. As I said, it was working just fine, but now I can't add any combinations at all.
I tested my other variation listings and have the same results.
I may try a draft one and see if I can from a fresh start. Will update if that works, but something is bugged out here.

Hey everyone. So today had to be the least productive interaction for sure. Checked again on the ticket and got the answer "It is still not fixed and the estimated fix time is 20 days from the issue of the ticket so it looks like it should be fixed by May 8th, although that is just an estimate."
You heard right, May 8th....maybe. So all I can say is that it is CRITICAL that everyone contacts ebay daily (email or call) to continue to add your ID back on to the ticket so that they know it is still an issue. Yes, I was informed that the only way that the tickets maintain priority is by the fact that people are still considering it an issue. Otherwise they figure that it is either (a) fixed or (b) that everyone figured out another way to work within the system that is broken. This is from the supervisor that I was transferred up to after calling in to the Customer Service help desk.
So thanks to Wastingtime101 for posting the Alert number info and just keep on contacting them.

WOW! May 8th???! Definitely will be calling them today. I've already had ebay submit a ticket about this issue earlier this week but it can't hurt to call again. Thank you for the info.

Wow, that timeline is brutal...could be even longer, as it appears to be a ballpark figure...i guess we keep calling and calling until this gets resolved...thanks for the update and everyone, please continue to provide updates

Is there a customer care number to call. It’s too brutal to use chat which is the only way I’ve found to contact them.

You know, that was a long period of my discussion with the supervisor this morning. As an ex-Home Depot person (from sales to store management) I know that we had a ladder of customer service options that was available to all customers that went for about ten rungs. I have been told that there are basically two rungs to the ebay ladder and neither can do anything except let you know the info that they are given by others. Not knocking them, this is what happens on the lowest rungs of any customer service ladder but this should not stop here.
When I asked what my next step was, I was directed to the "ebay user agreement" where I can find the address in California to right a letter to a Director. Got it. Go do your own research on who to contact and then use the most outmoded form of communication that is available. Customer service at it's highest moment with question.
So as far as calling, it is still good to do so on a daily basis (or email) and let them know that the problem still exists. Thanks for the help and keep up the good work.

I am still experiencing this problem as well. I have tried on Edge and Google Chrome on 3 different computers. This is really unfortunate. I need to update some of my listing's variations.

I just spoke with ebay customer service. They told me it should "hopefully" be fixed by the 29th!! They said it was a much bigger issue than what they are used to dealing with. I'm hoping they were just trying to be cautious and say the 29th, but that will take it to a 3 week issue 😞

Keep calling! - got similar response last night - was told the number of calls they get are escalating daily on this.
This is severe enough that a rational e-commerce company would find a weekend hot fix immediately - goes to show they have an incompetent IT and product management org… and obviously not the best developers either…

I spoke to them about an hour ago and they gave me the 20 days after the initial report answer. Got my id added as being affected though.

I just got back in the office a bit ago, thought I would check in. Ugh.
Hope its fixed soon, more so for many of you with larger listings to deal with than I.
Get a chance I will call in and pester them some more. Be sure that all of you do the same!

Guys I have figured out a work around to this problem.
On the same page click on the Edit button up top where you add and remove your variations
Then under Attributes, just Create Your Own and add any other Size or variation to your auction, the key is when you click Update, you want to get the "Add Rows Automatically" message instead of just the "Update Variations" message, then click Ok
Now when you return to the page where you input Price, UPC, etc, you should see the new Variation you just added, as well as all of the original Variations prefilled in, then you can simply just Delete the Variation you just added, and all you original Variations will remain and you can save the auction.
I sell Sneakers on Ebay and this had me baffled all this week when I had sizes selling on other Platforms and could not add those sizes back to my Ebay inventory.

Looks like the workaround Kjtaxman suggested - works! i was able to press edit and create new variations and add a photo and yes, the key is to press add rows automatically and then you need to add the prices and quantities as an additional step...takes longer than the usual add variations button like we are all accustomed to, but it'll get us to the finish line...thanks so much for sharing..we should be able to add additional listings until the permanent fix comes into play
