Problem with REPLY to messages

For the last week, maybe a bit more, I have had great difficulty trying to REPLY to customer's messages. Have to refresh multiple times, and it can take 20 minutes or more to get the window to enter my reply to open. I have tried patience - waiting a long time before refreshing (I consider over two minutes a long time), and then refreshing after 30 seconds regularly. I use a desktop PC with Windows 10 and Internet Explorer, and I have tried using a different browser (Firefox-Mozilla) and the same problem occurs, but also occasionally get a Connection failed message on that browser, then retry and once in awhile the message window will open properly.

Have also tried using another desktop available, running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer, and after five TRIES managed to reply to my last message.
Help - please. We rely on eBay messaging to guide our customer's to getting a correct fit, or discussing how we can best meet their needs.

I am on chrome and have a problem getting a text box to type a reply. Sometimes I can wait it out and click in that area multiple times and eventually get one. It's getting frustrating.

So nice to read your reply, misery loves company!

In the last month or so the problem getting a reply box to open up seems to have resolved.  I've been using Microsoft Edge and Firefox browsers since December, but just noticed the welcome change recently.  Fingers crossed that I haven't just "jinxed" it! hahaha.
