I found two discussions about this topic with plenty of replies but they were closed so I could not contribute to the discussion or reach Tyler by replying! It seems the solution was offered by tyler@ebay ; he opened tickets for multiple members with the same issue to fix the misdirected links internally. Hoping Tyler can do the same for me. Using the 'contact the buyer' function, I am directed to a page wherein I am prompted to enter the member's profile (ratzfatz1623). After hitting the 'Contact' link on his profile, I am prompted to either 1) enter the item number or 2) select 'this is not about an item. In both cases, repeatedly over several days, I receive an error message reading, 'Oops! Something went wrong.'
