Old notifications aren’t being cleared automatically

Notifications aren’t being automatically cleared how they used to. For example, when a best offer is accepted and the buyer pays, notifications are showing both the notification for the best offer and for the item payment.

This is a known issue for about 4 months now.  It hasn't been resolved so we are all just kind of living with it.
