No balance after purchase

The numerous times I bought a EBAY card. The balance is gone within about a half hour at the key most. Just happened again the other day. I put $100 

Any idea's why?

Once you make a purchase using an eBay gift card, the card is linked to your eBay account and cannot be used with another account. At that point, the card is "empty".

Any remaining balance should appear at checkout with a box to check to apply the amount to a future purchase.

I was informed that the card had been tampered with by the chat section I was in.

So, your answers did not resolve anything I asked about.

You have the gift card receipt right, and that is good thing that you have that, basically, when you purchased the gift card it is actually been tampered.
