For over a week any new listing will not save the descriptions, despite multiple attempts to revise. I have not listed any new items due to this, as buyers like a fairly detailed description. This is a platform error, a serious one. When shopping on eBay, I have noticed several other sellers with no descriptions on items, and assume others are having this problem. I contacted support yesterday, and was told to try a different browser. I cannot believe this is the remedy - I use Chrome. Is anyone else having this problem?

Trying a different browser is a good way to determine if the problem you are having is browser-related. It is not necessarily a remedy, but it can help to diagnose what issue you are experiencing.

I am experiencing the same problem. The entire item description disappears after posting a listing or saving as a draft. I looked back, and the problem has affected every new listing from August 23rd and later. I don't want to be selling anything that isn't described in detail or showing my seller policies. I can only imagine the problems this would bring!

I notice that you both appear to be using the same template in your item descriptions.
Are you able to list successfully without using that template?

I have used "sell similar" for several years for all my listings. I start from an existing listing to save from typing out a description from scratch, including my seller policies. I did try filling in the blank field with new text (after the original attempts), but that didn't help. I am going to try doing a listing completely from scratch (without using "sell similar") to see if that works. It may be that the old listing procedure is not compatible with the update.
