Near constant level of abusive hCaptchas

hCaptcha is getting old, tiring, and downright cognitively abusive with the constant requests it asks. What the hell pattern am I supposed to be looking for? What animals am I supposed to be clicking on? Every time I get stuck at another eBay "security measure" it's another five minute game of trying to get past it just to spend some money.

I'm using a supported browser, there's nothing blocking or filtering anything, please tell whoever's actually in charge of this system to actually make some changes and stop forcing humans to go through these awful tests.

I do not think most users are encountering that, though clearly some are.

Typically I only see such Captcha verification screens immediately after erasing my browser cookies and signing in to eBay once again.

Are you using a VPN or a hotspot? Privacy software like Ghostery or Disconnect?

Any of those can potentially cause verification issues.

If none of those things apply, your browser may be having issues saving or updating your eBay cookies. Blocking all cookies, blocking third party cookies, blocking scripts or using enhanced tracking protection might cause such issues. Try changing your settings or try another browser without those settings to see if you avoid Captcha issues that way.

If another browser works better, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies in the original browser once; that might help if the problem was with a blocked or corrupt cookie, but if you are having problems with multiple browsers or devices the issue may be with your particular settings or your network.

Literally nothing.

Someone at eBay really needs to unfark this for 108.26.0.0/16, for real. It's an absolute load of shiat to keep hitting these walls.

@dakotathekat

Are you 100% sure your browser is not set to delete cookies on exit?

The only time I get the Captcha stuff is when I've been away for weeks/months, my browser is set to never delete cookies so I only get Captcha once or twice a year.

Or perhaps your browser is saving cookies but they have become corrupted for some reason, in that case delete the eBay cookies and start fresh.
