Multiple ebay website issues in the past week.

1) Glitch: Winner of auction did not pay after 6 days so offered a 2nd Chance Offer to the 2nd highest bidder.  2nd Chance Offer sent to my email with "Congratulations (the first name of the buyer) you have a 2nd Chance Offer" or something like that.  I should not have been sent their name.

 

2) Glitch: The 2nd Chance offer was accepted but when the buyer went to pay, Ebay responded with "Seller does not ship to Kentucky" and would not allow him to pay.  I had no idea why this happened.  He sent me a message and I called ebay and they acknowledge that he had a check-out error and suggested that he pay with a credit card on ebay.com on a computer and not to use the app. 

 

3) Gitch:  Last night I went onto ebay.com on my phone via browser (I don't have the app loaded) to check a message.  It would not take me to the Messages page.  It kept going to My Ebay page when I clicked on Messages and there was no way for me to get the messages while in the mobile site.  I switched to the Desktop site on my phone, and with a lot of zooming I could get to messages.

 

4) Not a glitch but unfortunate:  Had a return.  The return shipping label that ebay makes so easy to click on to create and print was 57% more expensive than the cost to ship it originally.  Forget that!  I went to USPS and printed a label for the original shipping cost.  Geez, ebay deserves to make money but a 57% markup is too much for me to spend to save a few clicks!

 

5) Now just a vent:  I have been an ebay member for 22 years with 100% positive feedback on 600+ transactions. I will likely stop selling on Ebay not because of the above site issues - they will get fixed - but because of a noticeable drop in the integrity of buyers in recent years.  It's a waste of my time to have to deal with the scam buyers who try different tricks to get free stuff.  I sell sporadically so I don't sell often enough to keep up with the tactics of these **bleep** people to know how to avoid them.  Hats off to y'all who know how to handle the values-challenged buyers.  It's not for me.

Multiple ebay website issues in the past week.

In regards to 2) Glitch, the 2nd chance offer payment error has been ongoing for several weeks now.  The advice to have the  customer use a desktop computer to pay does NOT fix this problem.  You would think that technical issues involving payment would have highest priority in getting fixed.  eBay, you can do better.
