Messaging error

Several times I've had this happen in the past week. I get a message from a buyer and when I respond, I get two notices:

The question you are trying to answer is either invalid or older than 90 days. You cannot respond to questions older than 90 days.

=====================

Your message was sent. A copy of this message is in your Messages "Sent" folder.

====================

These are messages on fresh sales, they are not stale. Also, there is no copy in my sent folder, so I can only assume they are not going through.

Any help would be appreciated. One of these days this is going to result in a negative feedback with a comment about how I don't respond to questions!

Not sure what you have tried, but are you replying using the link in your email, or through the eBay message page? Have you tried clicking on Contact Buyer from your Sold items page? That wouldn't be an actual Reply, but at least you may be able to answer their questions there. Also, if they paid with PayPal, you should see their email address in you payment notification header, maybe contact them that way.

Thanks for the help. I have tried replying from the email (not the email reply, but the "reply" button in the email). I have tried going to the messages from members, selecting the message and replying to it. Both get the same result.
