So you see by the message count you have messages to answer., You go to messages and begin reading a customers message, so you check out what he is asking/talking about...come back to messages and his message is no longer able to be found...simply disappears., not in new, not in read, not in unread, if one is lucky enough to remember the exact customer name you have to try to find it in archives or shipping labels, so you can answer his concerns....again what once used to work perfectly...now does not...

If you have messages from members sent to your email address, it may be easier to keep track of your recent messages in your email inbox than on eBay's message inbox page. Or at least that provides an alternative way to find recent messages.
With threaded messages, if your sender has messaged you previously, the new message may be appended to the old thread, making it harder to find.
Or else keep the user's message open that browser tab and use a different tab to check out the item in question.

Sad thing is it used to work flawlessly until they "Fixed" it...equally sad that one has to go outside ebay to find ebay's messages.
