When I open a message, can read the header but the message field is blank. This started yesterday after I opened one the message was there, when I went back later to reread it nothing just a blank box. Is anyone else having this problem? I can go back and read messages I have opened and read before yesterday (01/04/2021) but not current ones that I opened later yesterday or today. I should add this is thru My eBay messaging.

I do not have any messages newer than January 3rd to check, but my messages page seems to be working otherwise.
What browser are you using? Mobile or desktop?
Sometimes restarting a browser or a device can help with such issues.
If a desktop browser, does refreshing the page while holding down the shift key make any difference?
If a page (or message) appears to not be loading, I would suggest trying to open it in another browser to see if that works. If the page loads in another browser, try clearing the cache and eBay cookies in your original browser. Or try disabling extensions or add-ons.
Alternatively, you could try opening a private or incognito browser window as a test. Or try using the eBay app to read your messages.

RE "try clearing the cache and eBay cookies in your original browser" I was on track with doing that after I posted this and it worked.
It just seemed kinda odd that within a few minuets I opened and read the message, closed it then went back and opened it again and it was gone.
Thank you

You are welcome -- thanks for following up and mentioning what worked.
Similar cache issues are not that uncommon; sometimes a change on eBay's end can result in a conflict with local data stored in your cache or cookies. Other times the problem may be a local resource issue, for instance when your cache has not been cleared in a while and it becomes fragmented or corrupted.
