Is eBay having a problem with the messaging system in My eBay??
I can see all of my messages in the different folders, but can't open any of them to make a reply or even read!?!
Just started happening a few hours ago.

The problem seems to be with mobile browsers.
I can still see messages using a desktop browser or the eBay app.

Yes - I’ve been unable to open any of my messages all day - I contacted eBay … they were unaware of any issues… I directed them to others posts today here regarding the same issue and they have opened a ticket on the issue. At the moment my messages are still not opening. This same issue happened about a month ago. Look at some of the other posts from today 6-23-25 for possible updates

Ok, so it probably is an issue with eBay.
I'm having the problem on my desktop which is the only thing I use for eBay.

Try another browser or another link.
Try temporarily disabling add-ons. Try a private or incognito browser window.
Try viewing messages using ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.
Try using the eBay app if you have a smart phone.
If you have messages from members sent to your email address, read and respond directly to the emails.

A lot of people are having problems with messages. Click the ? icon on the lower right of the page, then near the bottom of that pop up select the option to file a tech report. (If on the app you can shake to report.) The more people reporting, the higher priority it gets from eBay.
In the meantime, you may have luck using the app instead of a browser or vice versa.
