What category did you have them listed in?

If your books were not listed in the "Books" category, it is possible that eBay is not permitting them to be shipped as USPS Media.
While some sellers may list their books under "Collectibles" or other non-books categories, eBay's system does not recognize these as "books" categories.
You may have to ship these orders as First Class or Priority.
I share your pain -- I've done the same thing!

If they are books, you can take to PO and mail via MM.

To buy Media Mail on Ebay, the books have to be listed in a category that qualifies for Media Mail.

Entertainment Memorabilia

Thank you for the suggestion. I did not know that the category limits the shipping category.

True but there is no tracking. That is the one thing that eBay does right!

How can you tell which eBay categories qualify for Media Mail? Shouldn't it be kicked out during the listing process when you specify Media Mail as the shipping method?

For books, you'd list them under the books category.
No, just because the listing doesn't qualify for Media Mail, doesn't mean you can't offer it, you just can't buy it on Ebay.

As a full time book dealer I have had this problem too
when listing books in non-books ebay categories.
The simplest solution I have found is to use the USPS Clik-n-Ship site.
Just understand that the PO does have an inspection system in place
for a randomly selected percentage of all media mail.
Those selected by your local PO are routed through a regional inspection facility.
In the mid-west that is in Des Moines Iowa.
Some portion of those are then opened to check the contents.
I suspect if you are caught shipping non-qualified items via media mail
the PO will at least send you a bill for the balance,
though they may return the package to you.
If you violate repeatedly, they may suspend your PO Clik-n-Ship account.

The problem might be that some of the items the OP has listed can't be sent Media rate. Anything that contains any form of advertising can not be sent at that rate, such as magazines, no matter how new or old they are. As an example; Scion iQ paper shapers rare brochure. That would be advertising and would not qualify nor would the Road and Track items.
Media Mail® service has special eligibility requirements for permissible contents. Media Mail rates are limited to the items listed below:
Media Mail Packages may not contain advertising except that books may contain incidental announcements of other books and sound recordings may contain incidental announcements of other sound recordings. In accordance
with standards in the Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM 300) 173.3.2, Media Mail Packages are subject to inspection by the Postal Service™. Upon such inspection, matter not eligible for the Media Mail rate may be assessed at the proper rate and sent to the recipient postage due, or the sender may be contacted for additional postage (DMM 604.8.1).
For more information about Media Mail service, or call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777). Complete explanations of qualified items may be found in DMM 173.3.2.

A quick follow-up to my prior post.
Clik-n-Ship will generate a tracking number
which you will need to cut and paste
into the ebay system to prove to ebay
that you have shipped in a timely fashion.

You have a lot of listings showing Media Mail as the shipping option that probably don't qualify for Media Mail like sales brochures, catalogs, etc. (I didn't look at all of your listings).
