With a little effort, anyone can put anything into the header of a mail message; you cannot validate an email based on a "From:" line alone.
What does the email say? If it has links, where do they go? What are you being asked to do?
Assume it might be a scam until proven otherwise.

Forward the email with headers to spoof@ebay.com and they'll confirm or deny.

That doesn't always work. I once forwarded an email to spoof that I knew for certain came from eBay and they still replied back that it was definitely a spoof! (I was testing it to see what they would reply)

Anyone can insert anything in the header of a mail message with a little effort; you can't authenticate an email just by looking at the "From:" line.
What is the content of the email? Where do the connections lead if there are any? What exactly are you supposed to do?
Assume it's a con unless it's shown otherwise.

Maybe "spoof" knows something we don't? LOL!!!
