If you are using Internet Explorer 11 and having problems with the main eBay page hanging or causing Explorer to crash, try using another browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Opera instead, at least to reach eBay. If you can't use another browser, you can try bookmarking the eBay sitemap page and using that rather than going to the main eBay page (which is apparently causing problems for users of IE11 lately):
https://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html
If signing in sends you back to the main page, close the tab and go back to the site map and use that to navigate to another eBay page.

This is a known problem with the eBay Homepage and eBay is aware of it. It has been widely reported here (see other threads) and I'm also experiencing the same thing. I'm using a PC with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11, but Members using Firefox and even the Android Mobile platform are reporting problems.
The work-around is to use a different bookmarked eBay page to sign-in. I use a Community Boards page. You may also get a hang-up or error message, but if so, close the page, open again and continue the sign-in process. I've been doing this for almost 3 weeks now.
Alan,
When I see a new thread re. this issue I'm going to copy you, so you can track the threads.
