Hi, Have an issue with ebay. Have signed in with Apple ID using the Hotmail email. I removed 2 factor authenticator and the app signed me out. Went to sign in again with apple id and passcode but the ebay app prompts to a new page asking for a 2 factor authenticator or code that was sent to iPhone and the iPhone doesn't receive the notification. How come? I just disabled it, again? The option is there to resend the code for the second time but the page asks me to re enable the 2 factor authenticator again in case I still didn't receive the notification. How am I supposed to do that? Can't re-enable again because I can only do that while signed in. The problem can't be sorted out even with a customer service representative. Apple ID has the option to hide my email or share my Apple ID email with APP. In my case i chose to use the hide my email feature, the emails are being forwarded to my Apple ID email as per iPhone settings but will stay anonymous bu using the a made up email Apple uses. The made up email will show up to ebay as an example The guy is insisting on pushing an email to them from the privaterelay email they see associated with my eBay account I requested to fix. Or it won't be done sorry as what he said. Showed him all settings, screenshots from phone and explanations from the Apple website. The guy responds with the same email again and again and just ignores. Here is the email.
Already told him that I disabled but the app is asking to enable and I'm stuck. Asked for noitification to be changed by his end to be sent on the email he described but no answer. Is there a way to get through this because I have shipments waiting and incoming and can't view them anymore. The problem is I don't know how to go through all of that. How can I use the fake email that apple sent to eBay as a security feature. Stuck can someone help?
