Not sure if this is a new glitch. To be honest, not sure if this is a glitch at all or if this is something new eBay is trying out...
I recently realized that only a select few of my items are showing up in specific keyword searches. For instance, I currently have about a dozen listings for "J.Crew glen plaid suit," but when I use that search, only two of my listings show up. This glitch occurs with all other keyword searches as well, consistently showing only a select few of the many listings I have that perfectly match those keywords and category selections (color, size, etc.).
I'm thinking maybe it's because I have several similar listings and the algorithm doesn't want any one seller overloading a specific search? No idea, really. Just a wild guess. All of my listings, although similar, are selling either different colors or sizes. (And before anyone suggests that I group these items into a single listing with size or color "variations," this option isn't optimal for specific categories, such as dress shirts or suits.)
Anyone else experiencing this? I've been at this for a couple days now and still can't figure it out. I no longer bother calling eBay about these glitches because they take weeks to months to correct them (if they correct them at all), but if no one has an answer, I might have to do just that.
Thanks in advance,
ghost-star

I see two items you have listed.
Which item number are you having problems finding, and how are searching?

New listings take up to 24 hours to be indexed and appear in search; if you revise a listing before it appears, it goes to the back of the line.
It has not been 24 hours since the last time you revised that listing.

Dear velvet@ebay we’re having the same issue, and tried from several geographic locations, devices and accounts. Listed items aren’t showing. We found out because our item is priced below the competition and considerably below the price of $5,410 suggested by eBay. We should show up first when searching by Price+Shipping:lowest-first. We have no views (very few, only our own). Also, our other account with the same product (and even slightly higher price) generates hundreds of views and possibly sells out in a day. I was having the same problem, then it occurred to me that maybe Ebay was filtering out my own listings in the search results, just like what your CSR told you. I tried the search in an incognito window, and my listings were magically there. I totally agree with you that it's odd, and I don't know why they do that.

Seriously? I need to be able to see my items to regularly price them competitively. I can not, if they are not visible. Instead, I have to open another browser, or look at them incognito... with multiple windows on and switch between them. Keep it simple, please.

Thank you. But it's odd that you didn't notice one glaring fact. My revisions were within 24 hours when YOU searched them, which was SIX MONTHS AFTER my initial post. Strange that you would search my items 6 months after my complaint, and somehow come to your conclusion.

The post you are responding to was a direct response to motojacket's post, which was added to this thread six months later, and concerned an item that did not appear yet due to a recent revision.

Ohh.. I apologize for that. Should've checked who you were replying to. Seems I'm guilty of the inattention to detail I accused you of. Again, apologies.

No problem; I have done the same thing. When multiple users post in the same thread about problems with similar symptoms it can get quite confusing to keep track of who is responding to whom, and which posts refer to which issues.
