Ever since the changes to photo uploading was implemented (on 3/19/24 or so) when listing in Safari and Firefox, there are these glitches:
1. When many of the dropdowns for Item Specifics are clicked to open the field to type your own entry, the page JUMPS to push the empty field directly the very bottom of the open browser window, a huge jump that is super jarring
2. On many dropdowns, when clicked, and the menu opens, the page JUMPS up or down arbitrarily several centimeters- it is extremely jarring
3. For no apparent reason when you're getting close to being done with the listing, the page JUMPS back up to Category and Title field, but only sometimes, depending on what you click.
4. When the above (3) happens, ALL PICTURES and navigation for pictures and text around pictures DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY
All of the above is EXTREMELY jarring, annoying, and problematic and slowing down listing. I'm spending forever scrolling up and down back and forth because the window keeps resetting itself up or down, and clicking any of the dropdowns is like stepping on a land mine.
I've given up trying to reorganize my photos if I need to, or check something in them, because they freakin' DISAPPEAR.
Ebay please fix this issue with Safari and Firefox and the listing commands! I don't know about other browsers but a lot of people use these.

Are you using the latest version of Firefox?
Are you able to list in Firefox using a private browser window? Or if you disable any add-ons?

Yes I'm using the latest version of Firefox. It is also happening in Safari.
Yeah it happens using private window as well.
Another thing it does is that it will extend the blank space between the photo area and the Title, a little bit for as long as you work on the listing. By the end, the space is suuuuper long, so in order to look at the photos again you have to scroll FOREVER to get back up there. (Yes I know you can hit "Home" or "Page Up" but that's not the solution here - this thing is full of bugs) The blank space keeps getting longer and longer the longer you work on the listing.
The biggest gripe is how the window "resets" itself every time you try to type an item specific rather than just clicking a box. I've just stopped doing it because it slows things down so much to have to scroll the window back up so you can see what's the next thing to click.
It's maddening.

I have seen two other users with similar complaints; both others using MacOS, I believe.

There's an update to this. It only seems to happen in certain categories. I sell clothing mostly and it's happening in mens and womens clothing categories still.
However I happened to list some soccer protective pads and goalie pants - and it's still the old style of photo listing tool and the glitches DO NOT happen in those categories. Medical scrubs either.
Dammit Ebay you gotta do better than this. Also, I realized when using the old photo listing tool, its SO MUCH BETTER! The main picture is large, all the pictures are larger and easier to see.
How do we get them to at least make the thumbnails larger? Ebay stop "fixing" things that aren't broke!

SAME HERE STILL!!!!
I have to stop in the middle of listing and "save for later" to be able to continue using the draft.
This really stinks.

I experienced this yesterday with Firefox on Win10 when clicking "Sell Now" from various Fine Jewelry Earring listings. That category has a very long list of item specifics. I do not experience the issue with "Sell Now" on listings with few item specifics. Today, I started with a non-problematic listing and changed the category to Fine Jewelry, where the issue was again evident.
The glitch is accompanied by a very long white space between photo section and title that grows with each drop list selection. Clicking a selector starts the page bounce to a higher part of the item specifics, or, more often to the title section, and one must scroll back down to the opened drop list. Some of the lower droplists seem to have a smaller jump. Using the "show more" button also produced the jump.
I abandoned the draft and opened draft in MacOS Safari. The draft no longer exhibited the issue.
I resumed the draft in Win10 Firefox, and the problem returned.
I then resumed the draft in Edge on Win10, with no issues.
When I resumed the draft again in Firefox on Win10, the jumps returned.
Resuming in Firefox Win10 in incognito, with no addons, the jumps returned.
Next, I uploaded some hefty photos in incognito and saved draft.
Resumed draft in incognito and photos remained after several jumps, but of course, there was an enormous white space growing between photo section and title section.
Next, I tried an electronics category that also had a long list of item specifics, but there was no problem, so it may be category specific.
Since clothing and jewelry are reported here, and are the newest "blue checkmark" categories, I suppose one might look at that for any correlation. So I next tried "Fashion jewelry", where the item specifics were just as numerous and lengthy as "Fine jewelry", and found no issues. Changed the category to "Fine Jewelry" and issues returned, but when I switched from Earrings to Brooch category within File Jewelry, the problem disappeared.

Yep, this is precisely what I've seen. I've been listing in Chrome and having no issues. But this is not convenient for me since I use Firefox for 99% of what I do on Ebay and other businesses. You described the ever-lengthening white space perfectly.
I've been trying my old Firefox setup a couple times a day when listing, just to see if it's "back" and I happened to have some sports equipment and medical scrubs to list - neither of those categories had the issues, AND they still have the old photo tool with large thumbnails and the large "Main" picture. It was suuuuch a relief to use that tried and true setup.
Ebay, are you listening???

Yes, GF is having this issue in Firefox on Mac for clothing categories.
Hey kyle@ebay . Please see all the posts above, particularly @shipscript 's post which is the most comprehensive. Can you liaise with the developers? It's difficult to go into this level of detail with those short feedback surveys we can fill out from the listing form.
We noticed this began on March 18th (if not earlier) when the new photo layout was integrated in the clothing categories.

FYI to @simply-the-best-for-you and @chapeau-noir . I know both of you sell clothing so this topic may interest you. Not sure who the other clothing sellers are that regularly post here. Perhaps @fashunu4eeuh .

Thanks @wastingtime101 , I don't use eBay's listing form (or FF/Safari) so I haven't seen any of this & can't really contribute to the convo.
I did check something someone posted in a different thread, that in SH>Ended Listings, all the option but 2 have disappeared from the individual item dropdowns & I am seeing the same thing in Chrome. Not sure if that's part of the same update. Seems like they broke a number of things.
I know there are other clothing sellers here, but I recognize their ID's when I see them, don't have them off the top of my head.

I've been having the magically stretching white space, too (Firefox), then it bounces up again. I just SMH and worked around it, figuring it was another dopey eBay glitch - bad redrawing or something. It hasn't impeded my listing but just exasperated me. I think I'm enured to eBay's bad coding, or may be the word is resigned. I don't care much for the lost descriptions, though, but that has been the case for a while.
ETA: I've had the same issues as the OP as well with the page jumping. IIRC, this same 'jumping' occurred during another listing page overhaul, though I can't quite remember (it was early on in the redevelopment).

Hey @wastingtime101 thanks for flagging this! (And @shipscript thanks for summing it up!) I have made the appropriate teams aware of this for review.
